Brisbane Airport
Hoarding and Maps
Role
Design, Finished Art, Illustration
Based on brand guidelines, I created a series of internal hoarding for Brisbane airport while they upgraded the internal amenities. The hoarding played an important part in helping travellers navigate around the airport and highlight what was to come.
I also created a series of maps for Brisbane Airport website to help navigate Skygate Centre. I also upgraded a new suite of maps to aid in the navigation Brisbane Airport.

With AI becoming a larger part of marketing as a whole, it’s was important to tread lightly to ensure everyone is on the same page as to what we could use to create new assets. Much of what you learn is by experimenting on the job and personal research. Using the multiple tools I’ve been creating animated videos for social posts or for editors to create longer form videos.
Other avenues were the ability to create assets from nothing more than a floor plans.
For both directions, creating assets that appear on brand, meet an expected quality, reflect accurate finishes, and are ready for marketing purposes is no small feat. They still demands the same creative insights, brand knowledge, product knowledge, and all departments collaboration.

As part of a larger studio, you are not across the entirety of the campaign but you might create a few key pieces.
I selected an example of A.I. animated renders I created that are now used as the main video on the website as an example of creating ai assets that are usable in the real world.
The other image is an aerial of the hoarding for the same development in Surfer Paradise.
This was created from the initial concept, but was a little bit of a merry go around with many updates and many changes as the creative expanded.
It’s a good example of work that displays the size and scale of some of the work I do. Knowing how the assets will reproduce, how they will live in the real world, understanding the printer and installers needs, understanding how one change can affect the rest of the job. All these things are needed to ensure the images you see on screen can become an effective part of a campaign.
